bethaanie asked: I was recently invited to attend the AIPAC Policy Conference in Washington D.C. the first weekend in March. There are going to be SO many political leaders there. Obviously it is business attire all weekend. I was wondering if you thought it was appropriate, and if so ideas on how to do it, to incorporate pops of color into my outfits throughout the weekend. Do you think I need to stick to just basic navy/black/grey? I want to be taken serious without looking boring :) Thank you!

I think that sticking to the basics is the best idea.  If you’re going to add color, wear a cute blouse or button up/down with a ruffle.  Pant suits are good for the warmth… and if you’re wearing skirts definitely wear hose/tights.  The weather can be unpredictable here.  For example, it was BEAUTIFUL on Thursday (warm and sunny), rainy/windy/cold yesterday, and freezing/windy today.  Keep an eye on the weather!

Also, heels are a must, but bring flats that you can change into while walking around!
