I tend to nearly always wear gold jewelry.  The only time when I wear silver is if I have a particular outfit that has silver accents (like one of my printed J. Crew tees) or if I wear silver Jack Rogers.  I do sometimes wear my silver Yurman cuff, but it has a tiny bit of gold so it layers well.

I don’t think one is more “preppy” than the other… it’s a personal preference :)
