My philosophy about traveling abroad is that you really shouldn’t even bother trying to not look like a tourist… oh well! (Have you noticed that friends of yours on FB try not to look like tourists and as a result end up looking exactly like tourists?)

I’d bring layer-able clothing and things that don’t require a lot of care (e.g. no dry clean onlys and nothing that wrinkles with the wind).
