jewelofthesouth asked: I've been thinking of investing in a pair of Jack Roger sandals. Although, I don't know if I am willing to pay the price for a pair just because I don't know how long they would last. I've had many pairs of Steve Madden's, I've also paid a lot for them too but they seem to fail me after a year or so. What's your opinion on purchasing a pair of Jacks, considering the price and quality of the sandal. Also, what color would be best as a first pair? White? Gold? Thanks Carly!

I have never had to replace mine once my feet stopped growing. I seriously have worn the same pairs for YEARS. One night during my freshman year at Georgetown, I was caught in a torrential downpour. I remember wading (literally wading) through puddles from M St. back to my dorm… in my silver Jack Rogers. When I woke up the next morning, the sandals had seriously curled up from being waterlogged. I thought for sure that they were done. BUT, I wore them a week later (after they had finally dried) and they flattened right back out… and I still wear them!

I would suggest plain white or platinum
